BSNL has launched an scheme through which it offers incentives to prospective prepaid broadband customers who agree to provide their own modem. The new prepaid broadband customer who commit to provide their own modem will get two benefits-
- Installation charges waived off
- 100 MB free data with validity of 15 days
The installation charges for prepaid broadband is Rs.250 currently which can be saved outright. If customer doesn’t have his own modem, then BSNL offers the same at the price of Rs.1100 for normal modem and Rs.1800 for wi-fi version. It seems that BSNL is having short supply of modems and thus it has decided to offer incentive for customer owned modem.
